Yoga has helped me become more aware of my internal state, such as when I feel anxious: my heart rate gets faster and my belly and throat feel tense.
One of the tools I use to reduce my anxiety are PRANAYAMAS, or breath practices.
I’ve recorded a series of YouTubes that are coming out over the next few weeks that explain different types of classical and non-classical yoga breath exercises.
This first one explains a Viloma breath practice, using MINI PAUSES to help slow and lengthen the breath.
This can help to SOOTHE THE INNER WAVES of anxiety, and create more inner calm and relaxation.
