Mel’s first yoga class was seven years ago, and she trained last year with Inspiratrix Yoga to become a yoga teacher! Here’s what she has to say about the practice.
“For me yoga is about connecting to yourself, connecting to nature, being still, and releasing tension and stress, without needing to use words.”
“Animals do yoga naturally, like Dave my dog, he moves and stretches so naturally.”
“What I love about teaching yoga is the difference I see in people after a class, they are less stressed and more relaxed.”
“A lot of people think you have to tie yourself up in knots to do yoga, but it’s not about that, just simple movements and breath.”
“I teach yoga classes that are easy and simple and my favourites are poses like Child’s Pose, Cat Cow and Ragdoll.”
“Outdoor Yoga is great because you are with the elements: the wind, the sand, the sea, the grass. You hear all the birds, all of what’s going in nature.”
Mel’s teaching regularly on Saturday mornings 10am-11am outside at the Holyhead Breakwater Country Park.
