Thank you 2020.
I am the Queen of Resistance.
When I want to struggle, I do it big.
I have at times ranted loudly and endlessly about the unfairness of the universe.
But… 2020 was different.
Sometimes I have felt like there hasn’t been time to stop and complain.
I have learned to pivot faster than a ballerina (or a even than a small playful kitten)…and am still pivoting back and forth between face-to-face yogas, online yogas, and hybrid yogas.
Does anyone know when does this latest lockdown ends???
Throughout the year, I’ve kept refining my yoga teaching skills: online delivery has been a steep learning curve.
And when the first lockdown happened at the end of March, I had to move my Yoga Teacher Training programme online for a few months.
Nobody expected that.
But I didn’t let it stop us.
So, I delivered that training online until we were able to once again meet in person, with the option to keep doing it online if people needed to.
I also taught my trainees to teach online too, and now they are out there, teaching classes and sharing the yoga with their communities.
I get so excited when I’ve seen details of my graduates Elaine, Nia and Lowri’s classes that will be happening online in January (and I know many of the others are working on setting up classes too)!!
Cos everybody needs more yoga right now, to help us navigate the ups and downs of corona-land, these times of (potential) struggle, not to mention endless change.
That’s why I’m committed to running my next Yoga Teacher Training.
It starts in September.
It will be fully “hybrid” and “covid-proof,” with some people attending it virtually and others attending in-person.
I am only taking on 12 people on this course.
I’m chosing to limit the number of participants because I don’t want this to be an impersonal online course with hundreds of other participants, where no one cares if you pass or fail.
In this programme there’s individual mentoring and feedback from me and my co-teachers throughout the course.
It results in a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Professionals recognised qualification, and builds a solid foundation of confidence and practical skill in teaching, whether for in-person classes or online classes.
