Two years ago we started to do Beach Yoga pop up sessions.
I thought it would just be a bit of a novelty, but I was bowled over by how amazing it felt to do yoga surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.
One yoga class participant told me that doing yoga by the sea, with the sound of the waves, helped her to feel and connect to her breath in a totally new way.
Then, last year during the Covid times, teaching Outdoor sessions in July and August was an amazing way of helping ordinary local people reduce stress and anxiety, improve their breathing after Covid and find a safe way of being with other people in a group.
It was really special.
So after the extended winter lockdown we were really keen to get Outdoor Yoga going as soon as we could, and plan to run sessions from the end of April until sometime in September.
Even if we have to wrap up warm and wear lots of layers.
We’ve been cooped up for too long: it’s time to enjoy the better weather, get outside and have fun (in a Covid safe way).
So that’s why Inspiratrix Yoga is hosting two Outdoor Yoga sessions a week.
In Newborough at Tacla Taid on Tuesdays 5.30pm-6.30pm with Elen
In Holyhead Breakwater Park on Saturdays 10am-11am with Mel
If it’s raining or blowing a gale, we’ll move you to the following week’s outdoor class plus we’ll send you a link to a virtual class on Zoom you can do instead.
You don’t want to miss out on your yoga!
Suitable for all except pregnant people. If you have any aches and pains, or injuries, please come 15 mins early to chat to your instructor before the start of the class.
We want you to have a safe and enjoyable experience.
We’ll be respecting 2m social distancing and we recommend wearing a mask to and from the class, but taking it off during the practice.
There’s a class tomorrow with Mel! Spaces are limited by Covid rules, book your spot in advance here.
