“AFTER THE ECSTACY, THE LAUNDRY” — Jack Kornfield

I just finished leading another yoga teacher training weekend.

?

At the start of the year who knew the corona-coaster would turn the the learning experience upside down and inside out??!

?

None of us knew we’d also be learning to teach yoga virtually.

?

None of us knew respecting distancing and Covid safety would be so important.

?

None of us knew we were on the brink of massive social and economic change.

?

But some things stay the same.

?

Learning to share the calming effects of yoga (even if it’s online).

?

Learning to see what your students need and craft sequences to deliver that (whatever lockdown craziness is happening this week).

?

Learning to get past the “not good enough” beliefs and actually share your yoga (cos people need it more than ever).

?

And, every time I lead these training modules, I’m so touched by what happens when the YTT group comes together to practice and learn.

?

The joy and intensity of the group experience, half in-the-room and half on-the-Zoom.

?

And in under a month my nine lovely trainees will officially graduate!

?

I amazed and impressed by these amazing beings.

?

If you’re lucky they might be teaching a class near you very soon.

?

And, as I wash all my sweaty yoga gear after the weekend, I’m working out the finer details of my 2021 Yoga Teacher Training programme.
